OKC Thunder defeat Timberwolves 130-123 in a thrilling game filled with momentum swings.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 37 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists, proving once more why he is among the NBA’s top players. Aaron Wiggins, who scored 15 points in the second half, was another important player.
OKC Thunder defeat Timberwolves after a slow start, surging on a 22-4 run for a 52-33 lead. Minnesota fought back, leading 63-61 at halftime, setting up a fierce second half.
The Timberwolves’ offense caught fire in the third quarter, but OKC kept up, regaining the lead with under four minutes left in the third. Jaylen Clark, in just his 16th NBA game, impressed with 14 points and 4 steals, keeping Minnesota in the game.
As the game reached the final minutes, the Thunder embarked on an 18-4 run, pushing the lead to 11 points. Edwards had a chance to bring the game within one possession with a step-back three, but his shot missed, securing the win for OKC.
OKC and Minnesota will meet again on Feb. 24 in Oklahoma City. Can the Timberwolves bounce back, or will the Thunder complete the series sweep?
